Heavenly burgers at Burger Heaven

So we find ourselves at Burger Heaven in New Westminster, across the bridge from Surrey for saturday's late lunch. As is typical this time of the year, the skies were grey and rain expected all day. What better way to try out a good ol' fashioned burger at a popular place we've never been but have heard about for years. This place is famous for their gargantuan and elaborate burgers but we settled for just the plain old classics. I had the extra patty and poutine while Jeanette had the standard single patty and wedge fries. We added bacon and cheddar cheese as well. These burgers are a few steps up from the typical big chain places. It's good beef that counts and this place even has exotic meats such as buffalo, elk, lamb, cod, etc.

The fries were good but I prefer poutine with more cheese curds (and who doesn't?). Gravy on the fries was the standard beef stock gravy, very tasty. (Still, haven't had fries or poutine as good as the ones in Montreal..perhaps it's just what we're used to)

Anyway, here's to a Canadian meal that's filling and which would have one come back for more! Very satisfying! It's hard to beat a good meaty burger!
